Anrhydedd i'r Llew Coch / An honour for the Red Lion
Cafwyd gwybodaeth diwedd Mis Mehefin fod y Llew Coch wedi ei gynnwys yn rhestr genedlaethol o stafelloedd mewnol tafarndai hanesyddol. Mae hyn o dan y mudiad CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale)
Does dim ond 290 o dafarndai trwy Brydain wedi ei cynnwys yn y rhestr. Cofnodwyd 'stafell y bar clyd sydd ym mlaen yr adeilad oherwydd y setl ardro ar lle tan ysblenydd sydd wedi ei leoli yna. Mae hyn yn esiampl o sut oedd tafarndai Cymreig yn y 19fed ganrif. Ceir mwy o fanylion ar: website link Part 2 North-West Wales Llansannan Red Lion 'Llew Coch'
Over recent years, CAMRA (the Campaign for Real Ale) has built up a list of pub interiors of exceptional historic or architectural importance. This list is called the "National Inventory of Historic Pub Interiors" and presently comprises of just 290 pubs in the whole of the UK. At the and of June, notification of the inclusion of the Red Lion in this Inventory was received, and it is include due to the following: The snug bar in the front room is a wonderful historic space with its curved settle and splendid old fireplace. It is an example of how many traditional Welsh beer houses would have looked in the 19th centuary. A description of the pub's interior appears on the website: website link
