Maen siwr bod sawl un wedi sylwi tros y misoedd diwethaf bod gwelliannau wedi digwydd i ffenestri a drysau’r adeilad.
Cafwyd cymorth ariannol trwy Gyngor Gwasanaethau Gwirfoddol Conwy (Cynllun Grantiau Cyfalaf Bychain CGGC sef arian Llywodraeth Cymru) a hefyd gan Adran Gadwraeth Cyngor Conwy er gwneud y gwaith. Gan fod yr adeilad yn hanesyddol ac wedi ei gofrestru fel Gradd 2 nid oedd yn bosib newid y ffenestri am rai newydd felly fei hadnewyddwyd gan arbenigwr lleol cyn ei hail osod.
Barn yr Adran Gadwraeth yw ei bod wedi bod ar yr adeilad am dros ganrif ac wedi ei trwsio y byddant yna am ganrif arall.
Teulu’r Wynne-York, Dyffryn Aled, roddodd yr adeilad fel rhodd i’r gymuned yn niwedd y bedwaredd ganrif ar bymtheg fel Darllenfa i’r ardal. Byddai’r teulu hefyd yn sicrhau fod papurau newydd a llyfrau yno ar gyfer y werin dlawd. Addaswyd y lle fel YMCA yn ystod 70au’r ganrif ddiwethaf.
Rheolir yr adeilad gan Ymddiriedolwyr a pwyllgor y Clwb Snwcer

THE READING ROOM

Many have noticed over the past months that improvements have been made to the windows and doors of the building
Financial assistance was received through Conwy Voluntary Services Council (CVSC Small Grants Scheme funded by the Welsh Government) and Conwy Council Conservation Services for undertaking the work. As the building is Grade 2 listed, replacing the windows was not possible so the existing ones were removed, repaired by a local craftsman. and re-fitted.
It is the opinion of the Conservation Services that they had been o the building for over a centaury and following this work they will last another 100 years.
The building was donated to the community by the Wynne-York family of Dyffryn Aled during the end of the 19th centaury for use as a reading room by the residents of the area. The family also provided papers and books for use by the poor of the parish. The building was modified for use as a YMCA during the 70s of the last centaury.
It is managed by Trustees and the Snooker Club committee.
